| Squilax
Bridge Coming from the east: On the TCH 1 you will pass
Revelstoke, Sicamous, Salmon Arm and Sorrento. 9 km past
Sorrento, at Squilax, you take the left turnoff leading over the
bridge to the North Shore (Scotch Creek, Anglemont, St.Ives) of
Shuswap Lake.
Coming from the west: From Kamloops take TCH 1 until
you get to Squilax (approx. 6km east of Chase), turn off right
from TCH 1 and cross bridge to North Shore (Scotch Creek,
Anglemont, St.Ives). Continue along through Scotch Creek and
Celista to St. Ives after which the road becomes a gravel
road (approx. 45 km) Follow the red and white and red arrow
signs into Seymour Arm through the village and around the
bay to where we are located on the east side of the lake. |
Craigellachie
(Perry River Road). This is an
active forestry road, caution and vehicle clearance, i.e. SUV, is critical.
From Revelstoke through Three Valley Gap, approximately 23 km
past Three Valley Gap on the right side is Bearsdale Castle
Miniature Land and an Esso gas station. Go approximately
300 m further and turn right and follow road ( approx.. 85kms)
into Seymour Arm. Ignore the ‘no thru’ road sign. Once in
Seymour Arm follow the red arrow, drive around the lake to the
east side where we are located.
We highly recommend that you check with the Esso Station at
Perry River Bridge and they will let you know the current
condition of the road. Please keep in mind there is no signage
until you reach Seymour Arm.
Very remote route. Coming
from East, this route shortens driving time by at least 2
hours.
4x4/SUV recommended |
Boating;
If you decide to arrive by boat there are several marinas where
you can launch your boat and leave your vehicle in Sicamous,
Scotch Creek or Anglemont. We recommend that you contact the
marinas beforehand to ensure parking is available and to find out their
parking, storage, launching rates, etc.
We do not have a boat
launch at Sunny Waters. If you drive in with your boat and
trailer, you can launch at the
government dock next to the Pub in Seymour Arm. There is a
large dock and one buoy for moorage at the cabins.
